Jessner Peel 14% is a superficial to medium depth peeling agent with a combination of Resorcinol, Lactic Acid and Salicylic Acid. It is designed for treating more extensive damage than AHA’s can improve.
The Jessner Peel solution is more suitable for improvement of acne, oily skin, melasma, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and photodamage.
Preparation can impact penetration of the peeling agent and the overall efficacy of the peel.
Preparation can also decrease the potential to develop post peel complications.

Peel is ideal for clients that have undergone to previous peel procedures with alpha & beta hydroxy acids and are looking for a peel that will cause shedding of the skin.
⚠️ Caution: Jessner Peels
Jessner peels are layered chemical peels that can quickly increase in depth. Improper layering, poor skin prep, or inadequate aftercare can lead to irritation, burns, or post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Perform only with proper training, conservative layering, and thorough client assessment.
How to Use
- Client must be prepped previously with alpha hydroxy acid peels.
- The skin is degreased thoroughly with our Pre-Peel Solution.
- The Jessner solution is applied with 2×2 gauze pads, cotton balls, or Q-tips. (2×2 gauze pads are preferred).
- Apply solution in a pre-determined sequential manner starting at the forehead, moving around to the temples, cheeks, chin, and nose.
- Stinging sensation is normal.
- The Jessner peel is applied in coats, but we recommend one coat always the first session.
- Professional should observe level of frosting but also the duration of this reaction before proceeding.
- If applying several layers (medical level), wait 3 minutes between layers.
- Once desired frosting is achieved, our Cryogenic Peel Off mask or cool water compresses may be used to relieve the client if necessary.
- Unlike glycolic peels, neutralizer nor water does not neutralize Jessner, it only helps comfort the patient.
- After stinging subsides. Apply thin layer of petrolatum ointment and give client Hyaluronic Acid Serum and Cream.
- Make sure client uses sunblock at all times.
