Should You Offer Dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning – one of the most requested spa services!

Dermaplaning is an esthetic service which uses a blade to gently exfoliate the skin, while also removing dead skin cells and fine “peach fuzz” facial hair. This service may also result in reducing the appearance of pitted skin and acne scars.

Benefits May Include:

  • Exfoliation and removal of dead skin cells
  • Removal of “Peach Fuzz” facial hair
  • Reduction of the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
  • Aids in enhanced penetration of skincare products
  • Improved skin texture

The Service:

  • The service is typically performed by a licensed esthetician and/or dermatologist. Please Note: Most State Cosmetology Boards allow Dermaplaning to be performed by licensed estheticians. But, as always, check with your State Guidelines prior to offering this service.
  • Cleanse and prep the skin. Apply Zensa 5% Lidocaine Cream. Wait 20 minutes.
  • Use a specialized blade to carefully and gently glide over the skin.
  • After the service, the skin is calmed and moisturized. Send your client home with a sachet packet of Zensa Healing Cream

Results:

Treatment results typically last for 2-4 weeks on average. Repeat treatments as desired.

Cost:

The cost of dermaplaning can vary depending on the regional location and the provider. Check with local estheticians and salons for the going rate in your area. Expect to charge anywhere from $50 up to $200+ per treatment.
